Welcome to Rowley Surveying Ltd, a surveying practice that has been based in Sheffield South Yorkshire for over 50 years. From its humble beginnings and the basic surveying equipment available at the time, Rowley Surveying Ltd has now become one of the most respected surveying companies in South Yorkshire.
My Story
Born in 1975 in Sheffield, Tim Rowley grew up in a small village located near Penistone. After leaving secondary education, Timothy joined Barnsley College and spent a further 4 years studying Building Design & Construction. From his first job as a CAD technician, then a junior architectural technologist, Timothy progressed into surveying forming his own business and then Ltd company.
Realising that the only way forward was by embracing new technology and spatial data techniques, Timothy progressed into other areas.
Firstly the use of SUAV within surveying, and gaining his PfCO or now known as A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) then with heavy investment in the latest equipment, total stations, GNSS and Lidar scanners, allowing Rowley Surveying Ltd to progress to its next level, a multidisciplined practice.
